What is the difference in treatment of rats and mice?

• Products and procedures are the same but the size of the bait stations will vary.

What is the importance of securing bait in stations?

• Due to rats habbits of storing their food, securing the bait in stations will ensure that they will eat the bait immediately. It is also an effective way of monitoring rodent activity at your property. If the bait has been taken you can be sure you have a problem!

If we use a bait where will rodents die?

• In most cases they will return to their nest, but there is no guarantee they will die.

If I have rats in my ceiling with no access to it, how can you help?

• Bait can be placed around the outside of your home. Rats venturing outside to feed they will take this bait.

When rodents eat the bait, how long will they take to die?

• Approximately 7-10 days after eating the bait the rats will die.

What is the difference between pellets and blocks?

• Pellets are unable to be secured to a bait station and therefore cannot be monitored as well as the blocks. .

How can I identify which type of cockroach I have?

• Pestmaster offers a free identification service. The size of the cockroach and its habitat is a good indicator of the species and easily identifiable. Large, dark brown / black Wood cockroaches are found outside living in leaf litter and bark gardens and are sometimes spotted randomly around your home. Small, light brown German cockroaches are found in kitchens, laundries and hot water cupboards. Large nests wil form often in the back of appliances. 

Why, after our fly treatment we still have flies coming into the house?

• You can't stop the flies from entering your home. Once they have landed on a treated surface, they will continue to die for a period of 3 months or longer. Bait spray can be applied around the outside of your home for further effective treatment.

Are my family and pets safe from products used?

• Yes, full precautions will be taken when spraying takes place. Your family and pets must be out during the treatment and until it is dry to ensure they are safe. Fish, turtles, lizards and other such pets should be covered or removed from the premises completely.

 Can I have my wooden floors treated?

• Yes, treatment can be done on wooden floors. Fleas are found between crack and crevices in floorboards.

What is the time period for the treatment to be effective?

• After the first few days following a treatment you should notice some relief, however flea hatch outs can still occur up to a month after treatment.

How long to I have to wait before vacuuming after the treatment?

• You can vacuum 5 days after the treatment.

Do I have to cut back my vegetation?

• Houses with vegetation touching acts as bridging access for ants, therefore making control difficult. All contributing factors to your problem need to be eliminated to control ant problems. 

Do you offer a quick treatment to get the ants out of my house? 

• We offer our 3 month guarantee treatment and baiting provides a very good initial control.

Can you spray the interior of my pantry?

• No, we strongly advise against spraying near food and suggiest baiting techniques. Glue trap boards placed in the pantry attracts moths and therefore will stop the breeding cycle. 

Can windows be cleaned after the treatment?

• Yes, but be careful none of the spray is removed from the surrounding window area. The glass panes are not sprayed and therefore can be cleaned.
